Pietro Zardini Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore DOC
A full-bodied and characterful Valpolicella Ripasso with a deep ruby red color. Thanks to the Ripasso method, in which the wine is re-fermented on the lees of Amarone, it gains extra depth, structure, and complexity. The aroma offers rich notes of sour cherry and cooked fruit, while the palate is velvety smooth, powerful, and perfectly balanced. An elegant yet expressive wine, ideal with grilled red meat, pasta with rich sauces, and aged cheeses.

Production area: Valpolicella DOC

Soil: Predominantly red and brown soils on rubble, marl and basalt

Harvest: Very carefully selected grapes, late harvest

Production method:
Traditional vinification with skin contact for 15–25 days in stainless steel tanks, followed by an additional 30-day maceration on the Amarone lees (ripasso method).

Maturation:
Maturation in oak barrels and barriques for 2 to 3 years, followed by further maturation in stainless steel and in bottle before release.

Alcohol percentage: 14% vol.

Colour: Intense ruby red

Nose: Rich and vinoso, with notes of sour cherry and cooked fruit

Taste: Full, velvety smooth and powerful

Food pairings: Grilled red meat, pasta with sauce and mature cheeses

70% Corvina – 20% Rondinella – 10% Molinara
This classic Valpolicella blend features Corvina for structure, fresh cherry fruit, and elegance, Rondinella for color and spicy softness, and Molinara for freshness and lively acidity. Together, they create a full-bodied, balanced wine with depth and a refined style.
