Soil:
The soil is of very ancient origin and is characterized by the so-called "Rocche" : sandy, crumbly soils with an ochre color. The Astian marls from the mid-Pliocene, which characterize the mid-height and higher slopes of this area, provide an excellent environment for the production of austere, yet exceptionally refined and elegant wines with floral and fruity notes.

Colour: Deep ruby red with purple reflections
Aroma: Fresh and expressive, fruity when young; with age, notes of plums and forest fruits become more prominent.
