This is an elegant, characterful red wine from Roero (Piedmont). Deep ruby red with violet hues, bursting with blackberry fruit and intense balsamic, spicy and herbal (clove, juniper) notes. Well-balanced on the palate: fresh, supple and with refined tannins, followed by a long, spicy finish. Serve at 15–16 °C with grilled meat, mushrooms or mature cheeses.

Tasting notes
The wine has a beautiful, deep ruby red colour with violet hues. On the nose, lovely blackberry fruit aromas. The balsamic notes, medicinal herbs and spiciness (cloves, juniper) are very intense. On the palate, there is a good balance between freshness and tannins. The finish is lingering, with balsamic and spicy notes already present in the bouquet.

This is an aromatic red grape variety from Piedmont, developed as a cross between Barbera and Nebbiolo. It produces deeply coloured wines with ripe red/black fruit, fresh acidity (Barbera) and greater structure and tannins (Nebbiolo), often complemented by floral and spicy notes. As a result, Albarossa combines approachable fruit with serious ageing potential, class and terroir.
