Chardonnay PIETRAMONTIS, The Classics
Name: Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT
Area: Terraced mountain vineyards in Trentino
Soil: Porphyritic
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C
Vinification: The grapes are harvested manually and selectively. Fermentation at controlled temperatures and aging take place in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by several months of further aging in the bottle.
Visual examination: Straw yellow colour with greenish reflections.
Nose analysis: Fresh and fruity nose with light notes of tropical fruit and vanilla.
Taste test: Rich, mineral, full and lingering flavour.
Pairings: A very versatile wine, excellent as an aperitif. It also pairs well with meat and fish entrees, vegetable dishes, and soups. It pairs beautifully with medium-bodied cheeses, lean fish, and cured meats.
