A layered and elegant Verdicchio from a single vineyard, harvested at peak ripeness and naturally vinified. The nose reveals refined aromas of wild herbs, apple, and apricot, complemented by fresh notes of grapefruit. The palate is complex and penetrating, with a core of ripe fruit, crisp acidity, and a creamy texture that delivers a long, seductive finish. A characterful white wine with depth and finesse, perfect with fish dishes, shellfish, and refined Mediterranean cuisine.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore VILLAIA
The name Villaia originates from the rural tradition of the Marche region, where the threshing floor outside the farmhouses was not only used to thresh grain but also served as the family's social hub. Verdicchio wine was always present during the convivial moments of rural life. With Villaia, we aim to revive these traditional rituals through the wine's natural typicity.
Vineyard
The Colle del Sole vineyard, located in the municipality of Maiolati Spontini, is characterized by soils rich in clay and silt. Verdicchio grapes are grown on the eastern side of the hill, spread over 4 hectares of gently rolling terrain. The average altitude is 120 meters above sea level.
Harvest
The grapes for Villaia are harvested at the end of September. The yield is approximately 6.5 tons per hectare.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously, without the addition of yeasts, in stainless steel tanks. This takes approximately 50 days at an average temperature of 14°C.
The wine then matures for approximately 6 months on the fine lees before being bottled.
