Pojer e Sandri Rosso Faye IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti
This is a powerful and elegant red wine with depth and character. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Lagrein, it is aged for a year in new oak and further refines in the bottle. The aroma reveals dark berries, cherries, plums, and spicy notes of pepper, cinnamon, and paprika. The palate is full, structured, and velvety smooth, with ripe tannins and a long, refined finish with a hint of licorice. A wine with impressive complexity and ageing potential, ideal with rich meat dishes and game.

A wine with an intense garnet color and black-violet highlights. The nose is rich, pure, and complex, with numerous aromas of small forest fruits such as blackcurrants, raspberries, and blackberries, complemented by notes of ripe fruit (particularly cherries and plums) and nuances of paprika, pepper, and cinnamon. On the palate, it is an elegant, dry wine, rich in extract, pleasantly tannic, and very long-lasting, with a subtle licorice finish.
Location of the vineyard:
Situated on the alluvial cone of Faedo, in the cadastral area of San Michele all'Adige, in the Paradisot district, at an altitude of 250 meters, it faces south to southwest. The location is well-ventilated by the Ora del Garda, the wind that blows from nearby Lake Garda.
Growing system:
“Pergoletta trentina aperta” with 8,000 vines per hectare.
Soil type:
Geologically, Faedo lies between the Permian Porphyry Formation (volcanic rock) and the Werfen deposits of sandstone, siltstone, marl, limestone, and dolomite. The soil varies in depth from 30 to 100 cm, is clay-calcareous, and rests on a marly subsoil.

Details:
Fermentation takes place in wooden barrels, followed by maturation for approximately one year in new oak barriques and 12 months of bottle aging before commercialization.

This blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Lagrein combines power, elegance, and depth. Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, intensity, and spice, while Merlot adds softness and round fruit notes. Cabernet Franc brings finesse and aromas of herbs and berries, and Lagrein adds color, body, and a touch of spicy warmth. Together, they create a harmonious, full-bodied wine with character, length, and complexity.
