Ca’ Lustra Merlot Le Cerese

Le Cerese Merlot Veneto IGT originates from soils where volcanic and sedimentary rocks have weathered into barren, deep soils. We cultivate a Merlot with moderate but consistent yields, resulting in a dry and full-bodied wine. Distinctly fruity, with notes of cherry and morello cherry, Le Cerese tells the story of the terroir in which it is grown, surrounded by olive groves and fruit trees.

Alcohol percentage: 13% vol.

Le Cerese Merlot is a ruby-red wine. In the glass, it opens with aromas of morello cherries and red fruit, surrounded by spicy and balsamic notes. The palate is dry, pleasantly fresh and savory, lively and persistent. Easy to drink and very versatile.

Thanks to its slender body and fresh character, Le Cerese is a pleasant accompaniment to pasta casseroles and roast dishes, as well as medium-matured cheeses or a simple salami sandwich. We recommend serving this wine between 16 and 18°C.

Le Cerese represents an idea and its execution: emphasizing the freshness and fruity notes of morello cherry and cherry so characteristic of the Merlot grape. A short aging period completes the whole. Ready to drink immediately, but with a few years to come, it can truly surprise. The name 'Le Cerese' is a tribute to the cherry trees that surround the vineyard.
