This is a characterful red wine with depth and elegance. The Girapoggio Cabernet Colli Euganei DOC is a wine with a full and persistent flavor, almost incomprehensible from the first sip. The lean, chalky, and difficult soil produces concentrated grapes. To accommodate the natural shape of the terrain, we planted our Cabernet vines "girapoggio." The result is a long-lasting red wine that combines characteristic spicy and vegetal notes with warm and fruity accents.
Alcohol percentage: 13.5% vol.
Our Girapoggio expresses itself dynamically in the glass: the typical spicy and vegetal notes of Cabernet are balanced by hints of ripe red fruit, with room for tertiary aromas of tobacco and cocoa. On the palate, it maintains a complexity that complements the aroma, along with intriguing and persistent tannins. The structure of Cabernet Girapoggio makes it an ideal red wine with spiced pork chops, stews, duck with "pevarada" sauce (made with minced chicken livers, salami, anchovies, and garlic), and aged cheeses. We recommend uncorking the wine a few hours in advance and serving it around 18°C.

Genetically derived from a cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon is also perfectly capable of expressing the characteristics of its terroir. The richness of the Euganean soil, thanks to the combination of volcanic rock and limestone, gives our Girapoggio a full body with mineral, tobacco, and leather notes.
