Ca’ Lustra Bianco Roverello

The Roverello Bianco Veneto IGT is one of the most elegant and sought-after wines from the Zanovello Selections. We enhanced the Chardonnay with a selection of our finest grapes, resulting in a richer and more balanced white wine.

Our Bianco Roverello grows on poor soils. Here, the rhyolite rock, beneath the tenacious roots of the oak trees, weathers into sand, grit, and clay.

Alcohol percentage: 12.5% vol.

Our Roverello is a white wine that elegantly combines the warm and exotic aromas of Chardonnay with the minerality and citrus notes of Manzoni Bianco. A touch of Moscato enriches the bouquet.

This wine is an excellent accompaniment to mushroom risotto and egg pasta. We recommend serving it around 12–14°C.

The origins of Chardonnay are not entirely clear: the grape likely originated in the Middle East, resulting from a spontaneous cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc (of Slavic origin). Now widespread worldwide, it is one of the most versatile grape varieties. Harvested early, it retains good acidity and is suitable for sparkling wines; aged in new barrels, the buttery and tropical fruit notes that are so characteristic come to the fore.

We grow Chardonnay in the Roverello region, directly above the winery. To give the wine extra freshness and personality, we've added small percentages of Manzoni Bianco and Moscato.

Chardonnay
This is one of the most versatile and globally beloved white grape varieties. Depending on the terroir and winemaking process, it can range from fresh and minerally with notes of citrus and green apple to rich and full-bodied with aromas of tropical fruit, butter, and vanilla. Thanks to its balanced acidity and full structure, Chardonnay is suitable for both still and sparkling wines and has excellent aging potential.
